Those schools being added to the mix include:  Boardman, East, Warren Harding, Brookfield, Ashtabula Edgewood and Pymatuning Valley.

Tier two for football will include: Canfield, East, Howland, Hubbard, and Poland.  Conference configuration for the other two tiers will will be officially determined once all schools accept.

Basketball will be divided into three tiers.  The top two football tiers teams will combine to form the top basketball tier.

Schools must now get approval from their respective school boards, and will have until July 1, 2013 to accept their invitations to the AAC.

The new conference alignment is slated to begin play with Spring sports in 2014, with all sports beginning no later than 2015.
