Kirkland’s to Leave Southern Park Mall

Home interior retailer Kirkland’s announced Wednesday it will be moving out of the Southern Park Mall.

According to Michelle Graul, senior vice president of the store, Kirkland’s will service customers at their stores in North Canton, Ohio and Grove City, Pa.

“This year, we are focused on growth outside of the traditional mall locations, ” said Graul. “Closing this store is part of our overall strategy to serve our customer base through new, larger off-mall locations.”

Kirkland’s Southern Park Mall location will close May 24. Store employees will have the opportunity to apply for positions at other Kirkland’s locations.

Kirkland’s, Inc. operates 318 stores in 35 states. The retailer specialize in items for the home including framed art, mirrors, candles, lamps, and other furnishings.
