ACTION Holds 11th Annual Awards Banquet

The Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing our Neighborhoods, or ACTION, held its 11th annual awards banquet and fundraiser on Thursday evening at the St. Luke Banquet Hall in Boardman.

Guest speaker was Mahoning County Juvenile Court Judge Theresa Dellick. Among the honorees were area police chiefs, including Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene, Austintown chief Robert Gavalier, Poland chief Russell Beatty, Columbiana chief Tim Gladis, Hubbard Township Police Chief Todd Coonce, Youngstown Police Chief Rod Foley, Boardman chief Jack Nichols, retired Warren chief Tim Bowers, Weathersfield chief Joseph Consiglio and Liberty chief Richard Tisone.

Receiving the Frances Kerpsack Award was Monica Craven, director of Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning County.

The banquet is the only fundraiser  for ACTION.
