Springfield Starts Fast in Win

Springfield took control by scoring in each of the first four innings as the Tigers topped Jackson-Milton, 7-3, on Thursday.

Hunter Snyder, Eoghan Bees, and Joe Wrask each had two hits in the victory. Snyder finished with two doubles and drove in a pair of runs on the day for the Tigers.

Jeremy Fitzpatrick notched a pair of hits in the loss for the Blue Jays. Brandon Mitchell finished with a double in the setback.

Sawyer Stevens picked up the win on the mound for Springfield, working six innings with four strikeouts and five walks. Meanwhile, Nick Woloschak suffered the loss, working seven innings with three walks and three strikeouts.

Springfield improves to 13-4 overall on the season and 10-7 in ITCL play.
