Crash kills 2, causes delays on Philly-area artery

BROOMALL, Pa. (AP) — A crash involving two tractor-trailers and two other vehicles has left two people dead and snarled traffic on a major artery in suburban Philadelphia.

The accident happened around 3:45 a.m. Friday on I-476, known as the Blue Route, in Marple Township. Police say it involved the two big rigs, as well as a sedan and a minivan. Investigators say the accident may have been caused by a vehicle going the wrong way on the highway.

The crash closed the roadway for several hours and has caused significant delays for commuters in the area.
