‘Office’ cast member delayed arrival in Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — Dwight is running late. But not to worry, Scranton.

Some of the actors from “The Office,” the beloved NBC mockumentary about cubicle-dwellers at the Scranton branch of fictional Dunder Mifflin paper company, are heading to Scranton ahead of the May 16 series finale.

The Scranton Times-Tribune reported (http://bit.ly/136pyNV) Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight Schrute on the show, took to Twitter to air his travel grievances Friday night.

Wilson missed his connecting flight in Philadelphia on Friday night because his plane arrived 40 minutes late from Los Angeles. US Airways says he was rebooked on an 8:30 p.m. flight to Scranton.

A private party at the University of Scranton was held Friday night. Most of the action is happening Saturday, including a parade and a “wrap party” celebration at PNC Field.
