Shepherd of Valley in Niles offered a little taste of the Caribbean Friday.
Ladies were dressed in red hats with a tropical twist. The sounds of a steel drum band filled the air and island themed foods and drinks helped set the mood.
It was all for the annual Red Hat Lunch.
“Every year, we choose a different theme. Like I said, this year is the Caribbean,” said admissions director Kristen Taylor. “We’ve done slumber parties, we’ve done cowgirl picnics. We just have so much fun. These ladies have so much spirit, and they are just a blast to come in here. I don’t know what we’d do if we didn’t do it.”
Taylor said if there’s a red hat group out there that’s interested in coming next year, they should contact Shepherd of the Valley in Niles.
