Western Reserve’s Alexis Lude hit a two out, two-run double to help the Blue Devils defeat Jackson-Milton 4-2 in high school softball action Friday afternoon.
Jackson-Milton opened the scoring in the second inning when Kori Edwards lined a single into center field. Becca Jones scored to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 advantage.

The lead was short lived as Gabby Stubbs lined a base hit down the left field line during the top half of the third inning. April Lude scored easily to tie the game 1-1.
An inning later it was Lude delivering at the plate. She drilled a long fly ball to right center field. It dropped near the fence. Tory White scored easily to give the Blue Devils their first lead at 2-1.
Jackson-Milton would tie the game in the bottom of the inning on a fielder’s choice. That set the stage for Alexis Lude.
Maddie Kreitzburg had 3 strikeouts on the mound to lead Western Reserve.
Paije Kiraly pitched well for the Blue Jays recording three strikeouts.
Western Reserve improves to 13-2. Jackson-Milton falls to 14-7.
