Phantoms Fall in Decisive Game Five

The Youngstown Phantoms season has come to a close following a 4-0 loss to Dubuque in Game Five of the Eastern Conference Finals.  The Fighting Saints win the series 3-2.

The game was scoreless after the 1st period, but the Fighting Saints scored three goals in the 2nd period to take the lead.

Jarrid Privitera was the first to find the back of the net with 12:22 left to go in the second period.  A few minutes later, Evan Janssen pushed the advantage to 2-0 with a goal of his own.  Just over a minute after Janssen’s goal, Shane Sooth got one past Sean Romeo to make it a 3-0 lead for Dubuque after the 2nd period.

Janssen added an empty net goal with a few minutes to go in the 3rd period.

Dubuque now advances to the Clark Cup Finals.
