It was a special day for Mommy and Me at the Boardman Park on Sunday.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the park was the scene of the semi-formal Tea and fashion show.

Girls ages 3 to 8 year sold donned their special outfits  and strutted their stuff on the cat walk.  The afternoon included tea, cookies and finger foods and lots of lasting memories.

“It is just a lot of fun for them to walk the runway to music and wave in their pretty dresses and it is just a great,” said Karen McCallum of Boardman Park. “I usually plan this around Mother’s Day so it just reiterates how special mom is.”

Those who attended the event left with a professional photograph of their day and promise cards, to remind them of their love for each other.
