Many gathered Sunday morning at St. John the Forerunner Church in Boardman to celebrate the Eastern Orthodox Easter.

Orthodox Christians who follow the old Julian calendar celebrated the Resurrection of Christ on Sunday.

Sunday was also known as Pascha, and is considered by many as the most important event in the church calendar.
