Man Stabbed on Youngstown’s South Side

One man was injured in a stabbing on Youngstown’s  South Side Monday.

A man with a knife wound ran into the Shell Gas Station at the corner of Market Street and Avondale around 3 p.m.

“He was bleeding from the shoulder telling me someone was trying to kill him,” said Shell employee Montell Scott. “That’s when I seen this lady with the knife, and I locked the door so she wouldn’t get in or whatever.”

It’s believed she knew the man.

Police said the original incident happened outside of a nearby home
