Trumbull Memorial Hospital filled two executive vacancy positions in the last month.

The hospital said on Monday that John Walsh, a former hospital executive in Fort Wayne, Ind., Toledo and Atlanta, who served as the interim CEO at TMH since March, accepted the CEO position.

Jay de los Reyes, who worked as a hospital manager in Charlotte, N.C., was hired April 1 as the hospital’s chief operating officer.

Walsh previously served as the COO at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne. Walsh was also the CEO for Regency Hospital Company’s Long Term Care Hospital in Toledo for four years and vice president of operations for Northlake Medical Center based in Atlanta from 2001 to 2006.

De los Reyes worked the last two years as the COO at HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital. He also managed the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery practices at the Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute.

“These two individuals bring strong leadership to Trumbull Memorial Hospital,” said Kirk Ray, CEO of ValleyCare Health System of Ohio. “John and Jay come with new energy and perspective that I believe will help solidify a positive culture for the hospital both internally and in the community.”
