The Youngstown Development Center in Mineral Ridge received $464,442 in state funding Monday to replace generators.

The generators are 33 years old and will be replaced by Becdel Controls, Inc.

“The generators currently in use at the Youngstown Developmental Center are extremely outdated, so I’m pleased that our state recognized the urgency in attending to this issue,” said state Rep. Sean O’Brien, D-Brookfield. “Many people utilize this facility, and maintaining the safety of our clients is of the utmost importance.”
