A new nursing home facility will be built in Hubbard.

Today was the groundbreaking ceremony for the Countryside at The Elmwood Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facility on Elmwood Drive.

The new facility is owned by JCTH Holdings, which owns several other area nursing homes.

The first phase of the project, Elmwood Assisted Living, is a 35,000-square foot building with 42 units. The new nursing home will add about 35 jobs. The second phase, the Countryside Health Care Center, is a 50-bed nursing facility and will be attached. That project will start in February.

“We’ve had a lot of support from this community,” said Joe Cilone of JCTH Holdings. “From the mayor, the council, it’s been really nice working with these guys. They’ve been very helpful.”
