Roseann Schwartz announced she will be retiring as the women’s golf coach at Youngstown State University.

She was the first women’s golf coach at YSU, starting her career in 1996. She said she decided to retire because she has nine grandchildren and has not seen enough of their sporting events.

“My staying might be good for the school, but it is not good for my grandchildren,” Schwartz said.

She won Horizon League Coach of the Year honors in 2008 and 2009.
