An elderly couple lost their home in a house fire in Sharon Wednesday evening.

The fire broke out around 7 p.m. on Brooklyn Street. The three-alarm blaze brought crews from Sharon, Farrell and Brookfield.

Witnesses said the fire started in the rear of the house by the kitchen. The elderly couple lived in the home for nearly 60 years.

The Red Cross is finding them a place to stay.
