Semi-truck Fire Shuts Down Portion of Ohio Turnpike

The westbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike in Jackson Township were closed at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday after a semi-truck caught fire.

The fire happened just before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday at mile marker 220.

It’s unclear how the semi caught fire, but the driver was able to get out safely.

No other vehicles involved.

Officials said all the westbound lanes have reopened.
