Cleanup Crew Hits Boardman Roadway

The WKBN 27 Caring for Our Community campaign teamed up with the Mahoning County Green Team Friday to clean up a road in Boardman.

Dozens of volunteers from Huntington Bank, Window World, and WKBN helped pick up trash along Tiffany Boulevard South.

The crew filled up 14 bags, nine full of trash and five full of recyclables.

Employees from Mr. Rooter also helped out, saying it’s the least they can do to give back to the community.

“People are good enough to invite us into their homes to run service throughout the Mahoning Valley, we owe it to them to give back and clean up the area,” said Joe Kijowski with Mr. Rooter. “Whatever we can to give back, this is one way for us to do that.”
