Strong storms tore through the Valley Friday evening, spitting out hail, gusty winds and heavy rain.
Strong winds snapped a tree at its base, causing it to fall onto the roof of a house on Norwood Street in Warren. The chimney of the house was destroyed.
No one was inside at the time and the family can’t return until the tree is removed.
“You never want this to happen, but I go back and I’m happy that no one was here. My family wasn’t here and everyone is safe,” said homeowner Marcus Crum.
The family isn’t sure how much damage was done or how much it will cost to fix it.
