The Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club has spent the past eight years hosting car cruises in the parking lot of Chick Fil-A on U.S. Route 224 near South Avenue.
In that time, the club has raised approximately $26,000 for Hospice.
But construction taking place in the parking lot has forced the club to move its weekly cruises to the Austintown Senior Center on Westchester Drive. The first one will be May 21 from 6 to 9 p.m., and the cruises will run until September.
Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club president Rich Posivak said the senior center will sell sandwiches and beverages at the cruises and keep those proceeds. The club still will donate its profits to Hospice.
