Columbus police officer shot during pursuit

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Columbus police say an officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting during a pursuit that left at least one suspect dead.

Police said the shooting occurred north of downtown just after 5 a.m. Wednesday as officers were in pursuit of possible homicide suspects.

The officer was believed to have been hit in the leg and was in stable condition.

It wasn’t clear yet how the suspect died.
