South Range Silences Canfield Offense

Jordan Young’s RBI single in the first inning accounted for the only scoring in the game as South Range topped Canfield, 1-0, in high school softball action on Wednesday.

Starting pitcher Carly DeRose allowed just two hits with five strikeouts in four innings of work, while Darrian Yankek tossed three hitless innings of relief for the Raiders.

Abby Baker pitched a complete game for Canfield allowing six hits with five strikeouts for the Cardinals in the setback.

South Range improves to 23-2 on the season.
