Walker of Calkins Media named PAPME president

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Patricia Meagher-Walker, executive editor of three Calkins Media newspapers in the Philadelphia area, has been elected president of the Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors.

Walker is editor of the Bucks County Courier Times in Levittown, The Intelligencer in Doylestown, and the Burlington County Times in Willingboro, N.J.

She was elected at PAPME’s annual convention on Friday.

Nick Hoffman, managing editor of The Courier-Express in DuBois, was named first vice president and Nick Falsone, managing editor of The Express-Times in Easton, was elected treasurer.

Three new board members also were chosen: Sandra Clark, deputy managing editor of The Philadelphia Inquirer; Matt Martin, managing editor/digital of the Erie Times-News, and Chris Mele, executive editor of the Pocono Record.
