A woman is in the hospital after drunkenly crashing her SUV into a pole, police said.

Police said Stephanie Danley, 41, of Youngstown, was charged with drunk driving and failing to control her vehicle after the crash at about 1:45 a.m. Friday on Canfield Road, just off of Glenwood Avenue in Youngstown.

Police called in Ohio Edison to repair the damaged utility pole.

The crash woke up a few neighbors on the block who came out of their houses to see what happened.

Officers don’t yet know what caused the woman to crash.

Police were unsure the extent of her injuries. She is listed in stable condition.
