Folks in Lisbon could be excused for being confused as to what century it is, or what state they are in.
Solders of the Confederate Army marched down the Lincoln Highway to the town green on Saturday, passing out flyers along the way.
Their mission is to promote a civil war re-enactment scheduled for Memorial Day weekend in Scenic Vista Park.
The event will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Chancellorsville, and with a little luck, some big names from the civil war era are expected to attend.
“General Jackson will be there, he’ll be wounded,” said participant Confederate General, Michael Lawson. “General Stuart will be there, and he’ll take command. President Lincoln will be there to speak to the public, and to the union troops, arriving union troops.”
The event is free and open to the public, but a small donation per person is appreciated.
