Cheyenne Eggens struck out 17 batters en route to a 8-1 Mustang victory over Windham in the Division IV District Semi-finals.

Eggens struck out 10 straight batters from the second inning into the sixth. Jacki Rhine led the way for Mathews in the batter’s box going 3-4 with three doubles, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Maddie Williams went 3-4 as well with two singles, one triple, two runs, and two stolen bases. Maddi Grimes helped out going 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

The Mustangs advance to face Bristol in the District Finals, Tuesday, May 21 at Candlelite Knolls at 5. This will be the third game between the two schools this year, with both teams winning on their home field.
