Adrienne Toth of Sharon, who was diagnosed with breast cancer the same week she found out she was pregnant with her first child, got some great news this week.
She sent a picture on Wednesday showing her newborn son, Kellan, holding a sign declaring “my mommy is cancer free.” Toth underwent surgery Monday to remove three lymph nodes in her breast, and a biopsy of those nodes showed no evidence of the cancer she was diagnosed with last year.
She also found out Wednesday that she won a special contest with E! News anchor Giulana Rancic.
Rancic is part of a program called Fabu-wish, and is flying Toth and her friend Sara, who is also a cancer survivor, out to Chicago for a weekend of pampering and fun.
Toth will still undergo a double mastectomy next week to make sure the cancer doesn’t come back.
