Fitch Downs Chardon, Advances to District Finals

Austintown Fitch prevailed through two long rain delays to beat Chardon, 6-2 in the Division I District semifinals.

The Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 2nd on a sac fly by Zarek Bell.  Chardon tied the game in the bottom of the inning, but Fitch plated two more runs in the 3rd to take a 3-1 lead.

Fitch and Chardon were forced to move fields at Cene Park due to heavy rain.  They started their game on Field two, and finished on Field one, following the District semifinal game between Howland and Aurora.

Fitch advances to play Aurora in the District Finals on Friday at 6pm at Cene Park in Struthers.
