GM Hosts Motorcycle Show

Motors were running at the General Motors Lordstown plant on Thursday, but the sound wasn’t from cars off the assembly line.

Motorcycles rolled into the GM plant for the 17th annual All-American Bike Show. The motorcycles will be on display in the welcome center through Saturday afternoon.

United Auto Workers members said it’s a good way to remind drivers about motorcycles on the road as May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Also, the event coincides with the plant’s March of Dimes campaign.

“We raise approximately $11,000 in 24 hours, which is the final push toward our goal of approximately $50,000 this year,” said UAW Local 1112 President Glenn Johnson.

The GM Foundation also presented a $5,000 check to the March of Dimes Northern Ohio Chapter.
