Report: Boy, 3, Shot At

Warren

Warren police are investigating an incident where three men fired gunshots at a truck that had a 3-year-old boy in the backseat.

Reports said a 43-year-old man was inside a vehicle at his home in the 900 block of Garden Street N.W. with a 24-year-old man and the 3-year-old boy at about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday when the three men punched their truck.

The driver told police the men ordered them to get out of the truck, then fired three shots at their truck while fleeing.

No one was injured and no bullets struck the truck, reports said.

Trumbull County Sheriff’s deputies and Warren police found three men the group inside the truck identified as the people who shot at them at a home on Summit Street passed the Coffee Cup Café, reports said.

The 43-year-old man identified the person he believed to be the shooter to police. Officers took the man, a 19-year-old Warren resident, to the police station for a gunshot-residue test. He was released “on investigation,” reports said.

Officers noted they found no gun or shell casings.
