Ursuline Rallies for Thrilling District Win

Ursuline plated four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn a 7-6 win over Newton Falls in the Division III District Semifinals on Thursday.

Megan Ross drove in the game-winning RBI single for the Irish, and finished with a pair of hits and an RBI.

Maddie Christoff started the scoring in the 4-run seventh inning with a bases-clearing double with two outs.  She had three hits, including a double, with two runs scored.

Makayla Shore finished with four strikeouts on the mound for the Irish.

Bailey Shade struck out seven batters for Newton Falls.  She also racked up three hits and scored twice in the loss for the Tigers.

Ursuline advances to face South Range in the Division III District Finals Friday at 5pm at South Range High School.
