A Canfield man pleaded guilty Friday to misdemeanor charges that say he fondled himself while staring at his daughter and her 12-year-old friend in January.

Michael Johns, 50, of Leffingwell Road, was sentenced to one year probation and a $570 fine by Mahoning County Canfield Area Court Judge Scott Hunter. He pleaded guilty to two counts of public indecency.

Police said Johns was sitting on the couch with the two girls on Jan. 20, while the girls were painting their nails.

When the girls looked over, Johns had exposed his genitals and was fondling himself while staring at them.

The 12-year-old friend reported the incident to police.
