Despite temperatures that felt more like winter, the summer festival season got under way on Friday.

East Palestine is holding its annual street fair, which features food, rides and live entertainment by local bands. The street fair continues from 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

And, after a three-year hiatus, City Fest has returned to Campbell. The weekend festival takes place in Roosevelt Park with rides, games and food.

On Saturday, there will be a parade at noon from City Hall to Roosevelt Park. Saturday also is Alumni Day, where the 1993 Campbell state basketball and baseball champions will be honored at 6 p.m.  The Campbell City Fest ends with a fireworks show at 10:15 p.m. Sunday.
