May is motorcycle awareness month.

In Trumbull County, one congregation wanted to make sure the community stays safe on motorcycles this year.

Christ Episcopal Church in Warren held a bike blessing Saturday afternoon.  The blessing was for the bikes and the motorcycle riders.

Church officials said with Memorial Day weekend, lots of motorcycles will be on the road.

“This weekend is the unofficial start to the bike season.  So, we’re asking a blessing from God.  That it be a safe and happy season for them all,” said Reverend Jeff Baker.

This was the first year that the church held the event.
