Two people were shot overnight in Youngstown.

Police were called to the 400 block of Catalina around midnight for shots fired.

When police arrived, they found a 39-year-old Teresa Whitehead shot inside of the front door. She was hit in the shoulder and arm.  47-year-old Anthony J. Carter was also in the home and was shot in the elbow, but he refused all medical attention.

Two other people in the home at the time would not confirm the identity of the shooter, but police believe it to be 26-year-old of Sean Minear of Youngstown.

Minear is the ex-boyfriend of one of the women in the home. Reports indicate he became angry she would not speak with him and that’s when he retrieved the gun.
