Police investigate fatal shooting in central OH

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead from a gunshot wound to the chest in central Ohio.

Columbus police say patrol officers heard what they believed to be gunshots late Sunday night. They found a man they said was in his early 30s in a vehicle with gunshot wounds to his chest. The man was declared dead at the scene.

The victim’s name was not released Monday.

Police said it was the 28th homicide in Columbus this year.
