District Semifinal – Ursuline 7 Newton Falls 6
Sectional Final – Ursuline 1 Liberty 0

Each of Ursuline’s three post-season contests has been decided by one-run or less. In the District Championship, freshman Megan Ross singled scoring Maddie Christoff for the go-ahead run to take a 2-1 extra inning victory over South Range. Christoff finished her day by batting 3 for 4. The Irish last won the Regional title in 2009.

The Lady Vikings’ head coach Demetra Noble saw her freshman Kasey Rininger smack a double in the bottom of the seventh to score Jessica Buck for the winning run in the District Final to knock off the two-time defending state champion, Golden Flashes (4-3). On the season, Buck has accumulated 14 extra base hits and a .377 batting average (29-77). Somer McCoy leads the Vikes with a .423 batting clip (33-78) with 26 runs scored and 7 doubles. Emily Dugan has posted a 14-6 mark on the hill with a 2.00 ERA and 140 strikeouts in 126 innings.

Winner to play in the Regional Championship on June 1 at noon against the winner of Loudonville/Columbia
