The Lady Jays are back in the Regional Tournament following their 17-14 slugfest victory over Mineral Ridge. Caitlyn Carney had three base hits, which included her 10th homerun of the season and 4 RBIs. Madison Tomaino finished her day with three extra base hits (2 triples, 1 double). Jackson-Milton has now won two straight district titles.

Coach Chuck Higgins’ group snared a 11-hit performance in their 10-0 District Semifinal win over Plymouth. McKyla Gaverick threw a two-hitter to set up the district finale against rival Crestline. The Lady Eagles shut out Crestline 2-0 as Crawford makes their third trip to the regionals in the past four seasons. Colonel Crawford won the 1995 Division III State Championship (1-0 over Newton); however, the Birds have not been back to the Final Four since 2002.
