Kellie Pickler first became famous as a finalist on season 5 of “American Idol,” but now she is the champion of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” after winning this season’s Mirror Ball trophy.
And on Wednesday, the country music star was performing live in concert at Stambaugh Auditorium. It was her first live performance since winning the dancing competition.
“That was a crazy roller coaster ride,” Pickler said of the show. “But I am glad I did it. The good outweighed the bad.”
She said she was very surprised she won and thanked everyone for voting for her. Pickler said she was happy to be back on the road, doing what she loves.
Pickler has released three albums and said the audience would hear songs from all three, in addition to a new song she planned to debut at Wednesday’s performance.
