Bad weather possible in Oklahoma and other parts of Midwest

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Forecasters say nasty weather is possible over portions of Oklahoma and adjacent parts of Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri today.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., warns there is a moderate risk of severe weather over much of eastern and central Oklahoma, and conditions could worsen later in western Arkansas, southeastern Kansas and southwestern Missouri.

Tornado warnings and watches have been posted for parts of Oklahoma. Forecasters say supercells could produce tornadoes and hail.

Storms will also be possible in the mid-Mississippi Valley into the upper Midwest this afternoon and tonight.

There is also a moderate risk tomorrow in much of the same area as today’s risk area.
