Fishermen Identified After Drowning in Ohio Lake

AKRON, Ohio (AP) – Authorities have released the identity of the 53-year-old man who drowned after falling overboard from a boat on a fishing lake near Akron.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office said the man was Michael R. Schake of Barberton.

The medical examiner’s office said he went into the water at the Nimisila Reservoir on Wednesday. Divers recovered his body late Wednesday night after searching for several hours.

Witnesses reported seeing him go overboard off the small fishing boat while he was trying to fix some equipment.
