Judge Finds Dem Committeeman Not Guilty

PITTSBURGH (AP) – An Allegheny County Judge has acquitted a Democratic committeeman accused of attacking and harassing a bar owner.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Judge Kevin Sasinoski acquitted Byron Tielsch, 73, on Wednesday of harassment and disorderly conduct charges during a non-jury trial.

In 2011 police filed charges against Tielsch for allegedly leaving a notice on a bar owner’s door accusing him of being a drug dealer, and also attacking him with a two-by-four.

Tielsch says the allegations were “all lies” and that he feels much better after having been acquitted in court.
