LaBrae Cruises Past Ursuline and Into Finals

LaBrae advances to the Division III Regional Finals after a 10-2 victory over Ursuline.

The Vikings took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning after an Irish error. LaBrae’s Somer McCoy then capitalized and hit a three RBI double, giving the Vikings a 4-0 lead. Jessica Buck and Kasey Rininger also had RBI singles in the 2nd inning, giving LaBrae a 6-0 lead.

LaBrae added three more runs in the 5th inning and another in the 6th. Emily Dugan pitched for the Vikings and struck out six batters.

Ursuline had seven errors that led to eight LaBrae runs.

LaBrae advances to the finals and will play Columbia High School on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Massillion Washington High School.
