A Salem man is at the Columbiana County Jail on drug charges after police found a methamphetamine lab at his home during a raid on Thursday.

John Stoffer, 50, 455 S. Broadway Ave., was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a felony drug possession charge, as well as a new charge of possession of chemicals to produce methamphetamine, according to the Columbiana County Drug Task Force.

Thursday’s raid was conducted by the task force with the assistance of Salem police, Columbiana County Special Response Team, the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office and Drug Enforcement Administration.

Police found heroin, methamphetamine, chemicals used to make methamphetamine and a rifle, according to a news release from the task force.
