Springfield Regional Finals Delayed Until Saturday

Springfield’s Division IV Regional Final game against Cuyahoga Heights has been delayed until Saturday due to inclement weather.

The Tigers are leading 6-3 in the 6th inning. The game will resume at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at Copley High School.

Springfield took a 1-0 lead on a Hunter Snyder RBI single in the 1st inning. Cuyahoga Heights tied the game with a bases loaded infield single in the bottom of the inning.

The Tigers added two more runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Dom Gentsy scored on an RBI single by JoJo Caraballo then Brandon Chamberlain scored on a wild pitch by the Redskins in the 2nd. Caraballo added another RBI single in the 3rd, then Eoghan Bees scored on a bases-loaded walk for a 5-1 Springfield lead.

The Redskins got two runs back in the 3rd on a balk by Springfield and then a throwing error.

Springfield added one more run on an error by Cuyahoga Heights before the game was delayed due to heavy rain.
