Pair of triple shootings injures 6 in Philly

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say a pair of triple shootings in different parts of Philadelphia sent six people to the hospital, two of them critically injured.

Police said three armed suspects opened fire on a group of males at a north Philadelphia intersection at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Arriving officers found a 17-year-old critically injured. An 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were also taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and listed in stable condition. Witnesses said the gunmen fled into a nearby housing project.

Police said three people were also hit on gunfire outside a West Oak Lane bar in northwest Philadelphia shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday. A 30-year-old woman was listed in critical condition at Einstein Medical Center and a 43-year-old woman and 32-year-old man were also hit.
