3-year-old Boy Injured in Accident

A 3-year-old boy suffered injures Sunday in a head-on collision in Lawrence County.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Portersville Road, near Hickernell Road in Perry Township.

According police, Mark Bacon, 33, was traveling along Portersville Road in a pickup truck when he went left of center and hit another vehicle head-on.

Bacon and the driver of the other vehicle were not seriously injured. Bacon was not wearing a seatbelt.

The 3-year-old boy was flown by medical helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. He was not restrained properly in the vehicle.
