A woman is in stable condition after being attacked by a dog Saturday  in Wellsville.

According to our newspartner, the Morning Journal, a dog now being confined at the Wellsville dog pound attacked Tina Springer, 18, of Hammondsville, biting her in the throat.

The attack happened around noon at 1066 1/2 Anderson Ave. Police are investigating exactly what happened but were initially called to the area for a domestic dispute.

The dog belongs to the son of Springer’s next door neighbor.

Springer was taken by ambulance to a landing zone at Wellsville High School and flown to Allegheny General in Pittsburgh.
