Police: $1065 of fishing gear stolen in W. Pa.

BAKERSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police say one western Pennsylvania angler is less than complete after thieves made off with his gear.

State Police say in a Sunday release that $1065 of rods, reels, and lures, hooks and plastic worms were stolen from an unlocked shed at the Vacationland Campground on Sandy Lake in Mercer County. That’s about 75 miles north of Pittsburgh.

Bakerstown fisherman Alford William Means says the gear vanished sometime during the last week.

Police are investigating and haven’t made any arrests.
